Cultivating with Alma is proposed as an application prototype that seeks to be a technological solution mediated by Artificial Intelligence (AI) and embedded systems (offline and IoT), where the main objective is to provide tools that allow promoting urban food cultivation in populations who do not have sufficient technical knowledge. In this way, opening the possibility of a food sovereignty that will participate in a set of positive results in the creation of environmental, social and personal awareness; as a consequence of this, impacting the growth and economy of the Colombian agricultural sector and the increase in the consumption of local products.
The solution proposes the creation of a crop monitoring system through AI and IoT, in search of reducing the times of care of the crops and the risks that they may suffer during their germination, growth and cultivation stage. The proposed system will communicate with the user through a mobile application where they will have access to different elements, statistics and analysis resulting from the monitoring, where the actions to be implemented depending on the status of their cultivation will be indicated. Within these actions we can find: pruning, irrigation, fertilization, fumigation, harvesting, etc. As well as you will be able to visualize the state of your crop and how environmental factors are acting on it: daily light, humidity levels, pH, among others. In the development of the proposal, timely decision-making and communication to the user during each stage of the cultivation is recognized of great importance, since this will be the only way to control and succeed in the objective of having an urban and organic garden.
