In 1989 a number of entrepreneurs from Geesteren, who were affiliated with the former middle class association St. Martinus, united in a separate entrepreneurs' association to better serve the interests of local entrepreneurs. The Geesteren business association now has 100 members. These members consist of entrepreneurs from various sectors such as construction, services, trade, hospitality, recreation, industry, retailers and self-employed. In addition to promoting the entrepreneurial climate in the village of Geesteren and promoting the interests of members, the OVG organizes events for its members with the objective of promoting mutual contacts.
