About DGV Connect

DGV Connect is India’s first integrated marketplace platform for the discovery of a variety of cow or gaay (Gir, Jersey, Sahiwal, Khillari, Kankrej, Cross Breed, etc.) and buffalo or bhains (Murrah, Jaffarabadi, Surti, Mehsani, Banni, etc.) breeds which establishes a connection between buyer & seller and facilitates digital pashu or cattle loans through partner banks. It is a platform that allows Dairy Farmers, large cow and buffalo traders, Para veterinary, and Artificial Insemination (AI) workers who have traditionally played a role in the sale of pashu to now use a digital medium to discover, list, and sell across a wider canvass of buyers.

All aspects which have been traditionally followed in the physical world in a pashu mela have been catered to on the digital medium. The platform also has made a conscious effort to address the dairy ecosystem nuances around addressing the need to promote indigenous breeds which are sturdy and robust enough to various diseases.

The application captures crucial details about the bovine, including images of body parts like udder and muzzle, milk yield, age, weight, etc. that a buyer takes into consideration even in the offline world in a pashu mela, before deciding to make a purchase.

Buyers can also express interest in pashu loans (gaay bhains kharidne ke liye loan) via the application, after which the DGV Money Team helps process the loan application for eligible buyers to get the loan disbursed by the partner bank.

DGV Connect aims to solve for:

Financial Institutions:
i) Ensuring loan end-use check

ii) Opportunity to finance the Seller-side

iii) All financial institutions and partner banks will have access to DGV Connect and can fund the sale of bovine via provision of digital bovine loans

Dairy Unions:
i) Promotion of sale of indigenous breeds if bovine to increase quality and quantity of milk production

Farmers:
i) Easy access to a variety of gaay and bhainsa within and outside their catchment area

ii) Reduced time and cost in accessing information regarding gaay and bhains that sellers wish to sell, as opposed to physically going to a pashu mandi/ pashu mela

iii) Reduced time to avail pashu loans (gaay loans, bhains loans) as compared to the traditional paper-based process

iv) Digital Pashu Loan (gaay loan, bhains loan) providing ease of access
