Liepāja AR is a free augmented reality (AR) application that allows you to see the objects of generative design in the urban environment of Liepāja.
Using the "Liepāja AR" app, you have the opportunity to enjoy a unique experience - see sculptures in Liepāja near the Rose Square, the Big Amber and Swan Pond, as well as take special photos.
You must allow the app to access the location and camera to view the sculptures. The sculptures can be seen approaching their location, which is indicated by the white dots at a distance. When you are close enough, the point will turn into a sculpture.
Sculptures on different devices can be located in different places, depending on the performance of the smartphone, weather, environment, GPS signal. During the dark hours of the day, or near buildings that obscure the signal, the app may malfunction.
If incorrect distances are displayed, the app needs a restart.
The app is friendly for both adults and children. Language - Latvian.
Application developer: Arvis Magone.
Sculpture authors: Toms Balodis and Edgars Birznieks.
The project is implemented by the Digital Innovation Park with the support of the State Cultural Capital Fund.
