The purpose of this research is to test how certain design factors influence user experience in an Android App. In this case we will be using the well-known game 2048 for this. Don’t worry, you don’t have to be good at the game. Participation requires that you play the game for a few minutes and then answer some questions afterwards. The entire process should take no more than ten minutes. Initially, we will ask a few demographic questions, such as age and level of education. This will help us to possibly find correlations between different types of data. During the playtesting phase we will collect information on app usage. Collected data will only consist of information about which features are being used and at what frequency. The data will then be stored and handled in accordance with the GDPR. Once the research concludes, all collected data will be destroyed. This is scheduled to happen at the end of July 2020.
