Each ethnic group in Sabah has its own cultural identity. The authenticity of a culture is very valuable to be preserved so that it does not disappear with time. The beliefs and practices of each ethnic group inherited from their ancestors become a guide for the community of each ethnic group in their daily lives. Although exposed to modern changes, all those beliefs and practices are still practiced today. The same goes for traditional food in the dishes of each ethnic group until today. Those traditional foods are still loved and become dishes in any feast held. In addition, each ethnic group has customs that are still practiced today. Custom is considered as a rule that has been practiced since generations in a society so that it becomes an obligation to obey.
