The World Bank in partnership with the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) is carrying out a pilot project to identify and test interventions to improve the quality of Early Childhood Education (ECE) in India called the Preschool Reform Initiative (PRERIT).
The PRERIT Monitoring Tool is a survey-based app that will be used to monitor the performance of the pilot’s select pre-primary schools and co-located Anganwadi Centers across two states in India over a period of time. It will do so along five broad indicators that include Attendance, PSE Kit, Classroom Environment, ECE Routine Delivery, Parental Engagement, and Infrastructure.
