Ecomap is an application for reporting eco problems that was developed as part of the project "Talking about climate change". The main purpose of the map is to map all eco-problems and positive practices for dealing with climate change on a map of RS Macedonia and their relationship with a set of other administrative, orthophoto, topographic and thematic maps, as well as maps of protected areas in RS Macedonia.
Troubleshooting itself provides the opportunity to display images of events to get a realistic view of the specific problem, and the comments section provides direct communication between users in order to jointly solve certain problems or give advice on appropriate actions.
If several people report the same problem in the same place, the application itself will group the problems (and the reports) in one place so that the same problem does not occur again. This would provide adequate data if one wants to make an analysis in which to look at burned forests for example during a calendar year.
This tool aims to enable the civil society sector and the general public to act in the direction of easier solution of certain problems and the opportunity for joint action of organizations from different regions according to the problems they face together. On the other hand, state institutions will be able to use the information that will be available to them for analysis, strategic planning, and those institutions that work in the field can use the data as support in their daily work.
