The Green Play is an alternative and innovative methodology that aims to promote the education of the values of sport among children and youth, both in individual sports and in team sports. To this end, the project will build on the "Juga Verd Play", implemented by the Sports Council of the Region of Baix Llobregat.
This project is funded by the program "Erasmus +"
The basic premise is that the Green Play to educate with sporting values, in order to get more points than the opposing team may not be the only condition to win the game, moral values and behavior should also influence the final result.
One of the unique features of this project is the integration of all target groups participating in sporting competitions and who have influence in the educational process (public, families, referees and coaches).
The Green Play methodology will be implemented in Portugal by Sporting Foundation in Finland by the Finnish Sports Association of the Tampere Region, in Italy, through the Sports Lazio Basketball Association, and in Catalonia by the Sports Council of the Region of Baix Llobregat .
The entity responsible for monitoring and evaluation of progressions will be the Institute for Social Research in Italy and the entity that will oversee (identify international best practices, define the policy recommendations and organize the final conference) the project will be the Sport and Citizenship, on France.
