In Formula One you only need to change the volume, weight or number of any item in the recipe and then turn the other items so that the proportions are maintained. Take e.g. a recipe for pancakes that is expected to give 8 pcs. Change to 12pcs and you will immediately get a new recipe with as much as you need from each ingredient.
Another example is if you are going to make custard and have 93g powder left by entering all the data for a whole package, it is just to change to 93 grams so you easily get the amount of other ingredients. Save the recipe for later occasions.
If you have a recipe that you know consists of 1500 calories for 4 people, you can add the number of calories as an ingredient (1500 calories) and then reduce a little to get a slightly calorie-reduced recipe.
