Come and live a unique experience to discover the life of our Neolithic ancestors. Imagine the construction of La Roche aux Fées like a 5,000-year-old architect! This famous Roche-aux-Fées dolmen located in the town of Essé, in Ille-et-Vilaine. Its name comes from a legend claiming that the stones were brought by fairies. The dolmen is made up of more than forty stones forming a corridor four times as long as it is wide. Its orientation is such that the sun rises in alignment with it during the winter solstice. It is also one of the first thousand listed historical monuments in France.
The Maison de le Roche aux Fées also lends tablets to visitors in the summer.
