About Severance Pain

Brutal topdown slasher. Expect to die a lot, and quickly.

You have only one move - whirl around like a maniac and woe betide any fool that gets in your way.

Delve into dungeons like the Cursed Crypt of Neverending Tragedies and retrieve valuable artifacts like the Forbidden Grimoire of Inscrutable Vampire Mating Rituals. For example.

Collect spells and perks to upgrade your character with enhanced abilities. Then die anyway, because it's dangerous out there.

Cheff kiss. Maybe add multiplayer and/or longer campaign. Add more upgrades, challanges, puzzles, interactions, mechanics, etc. The possibilities and potential is very enormous on this game. Looking forward to it. The game is like hotline miami but medieval. Although not as intense. But again, that can be fixed in the future. A bit repetitive for now. But I am looking forward to updates.

I'd say this is a proof-of-concept, not a game. There's one combat mechanic (a leftward, spiralling swing of your sword) and a few collectable abilities that boil down to well-oriented button presses. Once you get a hang of combat, it gets old extremely fast ー the experience consisting of repetitive fetch quests doesn't do much to capture the player's sustained interest, either. I really like the other games from this developer, I recommend you try those.
