great game but you can only go so far. needs an update so you can move on from the first mission

no oil to move to the next mission. i have completed all mission 1 quests. even built the airplane. but the airplane is asking for oil. there is no oil. did the update on 8/17 and it just stays on the loading screen now. i can't even get into the game.
