This application has been created as a teaching-learning method where the user can observe the representation in augmented reality of heritage sites or architectural monuments, where the main objective is to publicize the heritage by viewing the different spaces to through mobile devices.
With the above, the application has its beginnings in the virtual development of the convent of Santa María Magdalena located in San Martin Texmelucan, Puebla, Mexico; which corresponds to a late monastic style and due to its foundational characteristics, belongs to a series of sixteen convents of the Franciscan branch of San Diego de Alcalá, also called dieguinos, said monastic order was born in Spain where its convents are known as Alcantarinos. The importance of the convent of Santa María Magdalena lies in the location between the two most important cities during the viceroyalty, Mexico and Puebla, since the Dieguinos needed to found religious houses in New Spain to serve as a transit to the Philippine lands. , for this reason they seek to establish themselves in the main cities of New Spain and as the road was very long, the foundation of this convent served to interconnect the activities they carried out, thus allowing it to be a safe town, since being a place of commerce, counting on farms and with an important sacred enclosure, it allowed at that time to promote the donation of resources for the management and purchase of the artistic movable property that the religious complex has, which is declared monumental heritage in 1933 and of which can be known through reading the book to which augmented reality is focused.
To visualize the virtual model, markers have been placed, located in the main architectural plans of the convent complex, so that, from them, a diagram of spaces can be visualized in which the reader, user or tourist can locate the spatial distribution of the temple and convent, as well as their specific sites.
Finally, the augmented reality of this 17th century convent complex is disseminated through the book dedicated to the 400 years of its foundation, being an innovation in publications on religious art and architecture, since through this application the spaces can be known volumetrically and in a future to generate virtual reality for the dissemination and above all preservation of heritage spaces.
