A central arm of agricultural research in Bangladesh is the Bangladesh Rice Research Institute, which works on the production and variety development of the country's staple food rice, whose journey started in 1970. It has a total strength of 786 including 308 scientists/agricultural engineers/officers. About one-third of scientists have higher training, including MS and Ph.D. Through this app developed with the help of the Bangladesh ICT division, BRRI and all the farmers of Bangladesh are aware of the productions, problems, and selection of suitable rice varieties will play a tremendous role.
