An official application of the Familistère de Guise
The Familistère de Guise, or Social Palace, is a vast collective housing complex erected in the 19th century for the workers of the foundry of the famous “Godin” stoves. It is one of the most remarkable social experiments in the industrial world, a concrete utopia on an unprecedented scale.
The Familistère is still inhabited. It is now completely rehabilitated. It is classified as a historical monument and it is a very original museum of France.
The Familistère visit companion application includes a complete tour of the various places of the Familistère, inside and out, from the central pavilion of the Social Palace to the gardens, passing through the square, Godin's apartment, the theater , the storerooms or the laundry-swimming pool.
The application offers different visit routes according to the interests of the visitor. A large quiz also allows you to browse your knowledge of the Familistère.
