The Benin 2021 reference price directory concerns products commonly used by the public administration. It is not a document intended to regulate prices, but rather defines reasonable intervals of price variation to be charged by suppliers of goods and services to the public administration. For each product, the directory indicates a median price obtained from the prices generally collected at three points of sale. Taking into account any fluctuations in the profit margin and the payment period led to the definition of a variation interval delimited by a lower limit (BI) and an upper limit (BS).
