The Rīgas satiksme mobile app has been created to make the purchase of public transport tickets more convenient and accessible. The application is intended for the purchase of code tickets online and for use in trams, trolleybuses and buses. When boarding a vehicle, you must activate the ticket purchased on your phone by scanning a square code located in several places throughout the vehicle's interior, or enter the identification number that appears below the square code. Each vehicle has a different square code and identification number. In case the controller gets on the transport, you need to open the app and present the registered ticket to the controller. You can buy up to 10 one-way tickets for the full fare in the app. Tickets must be used within three months of purchase. Your phone requires an internet connection to buy travel tickets.
