Fortune or luck was first spent in Krakow in the 16th century. This book was a collection of omens by Stanisław Gąsiorek of Bochna. Readers awaiting light and pleasant fun, thanks to it, could find the answers to the bothering questions about love, happiness, a good marriage or life expectancy. Fortune was an extremely sought-after piece, and many copies were read quickly.
This application is an interpretation of the Fortuna edition (ca. 1561-1577) in the form of a mobile application. Although the layout of the application itself cannot accurately reflect the paper edition, it draws from it to a large extent. All elements of the digital edition are either original woodcuts (including shields and illustrations of figures) or were made of them. The mechanics of the game have not been modified properly, the player still chooses one of the 21 questions, and then goes through the next stages of the game, up to one of the 444 predictions. The text of the fortune-telling has been modernized and provided with explanations so that it is understandable by a modern recipient. In addition, the player can change the typeface to a 16th-century fractal at any time and see what the printed magazine used to look like in the past.
