In commemoration of the Indonesian Museum Day which falls every October 12, the Ministry of Education and Culture through the Directorate for the Preservation of Cultural Heritage and Museums in collaboration with the Provincial Government of DKI Jakarta held an event on 7-13 October 2019 in the Old City area precisely in Taman Fatahillah.
One of the main agenda items of the celebration was an exhibition based on a storyline presented by the Museum Sub Directorate with the theme Diversity with the tagline "Differences, Many Stories". In this exhibition the exhibition space is not only in the form of physical space, but also presents a digital showroom in the form of an application with Augmented Reality technology.
Users can interact with museum collections on display using their smart phones by scanning the markers that are on each collection that is displayed. In addition, users can also access the existing library in this application to view the 3-dimensional objects of the collections on display.
