severe weather ahead and it will not show me it. click on it and nothing happens

loved it for years, but now with the latest update, the app opens and then almost immediately shuts down. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling twice, but it continues to shut down. sadly, I am switching to a different news/weather app.
