It's ALWAYS on. There's no way to turn it off. No option in the app. Clearing recently used apps doesn't work. It's always on and always draining your battery. EDIT: 7 years later... Still no way to turn it off. The only way you can stop it from running in the background is by uninstalling it. Just allow us to turn it off when we're not using it please! I only use the app/GPS a couple of times a month. I don't need it running every minute of every day!!!
