2020 Nuit Blanche Day and Night X Dance Theater Suwei Jia "See Your Free Walk" AR Augmented Reality
Su Weijia’s 10-year choreography project has entered its 7th year, with AR augmented reality (Augmented Reality, AR) redefining the viewing form. The audience will hold a tablet or mobile device, walk freely in the space, and search through the AR interface. Observe the various details of the dance from your own gaze point of view. From the perspective of technology, Su Weijia thinks about the possibility of contemporary dance performance. With the aid of technology, he uses the surrounding synchronous photography technology to present the most authentic appearance of dance, and uses digital technology to leave the body with eternity and multiple styles. Breaking the limitations of time and space, so that viewing is not limited to time, angle and distance, incubating the future freestyle of "viewing" and "acting".
For the seventh year in SU Wei-chia’s decade-long choreography project. FreeSteps AR Yours, audiences use their tablets or smartphones as they walk freely within various spaces in the venue, while using augmented reality technology to see different dimensions of the dance.
