GestElec is a free application that will allow you to manage the power consumption of your home and to make your own estimate of the electrical costs in order to compare with the proposed estimate of your electricity supplier (to revise downwards or increase your monthly payment).
When you first launch a wizard guides you through the settings required to run the application, especially for the automated calculation of your electricity consumption. These settings will be changed if necessary by the result.
Then each day (or just at the beginning and end of the month) you simply enter your power consumption under your counter.
To achieve optimum calculation and as fair as possible, estimation of your consumption will be calculated from your second entry (because it is very unlikely that your meter is at 0 during the first use of GestElec).
Different options are available:
- Management of non-peak hours, or (depending on your electricity subscription)
- Daily notification to remind you enter your power consumption
- Calculation of an estimated amount
- Assistance with each of the icons for the best use GestElec
You will have the ability to view a specific date, modify, delete it if necessary. It is also possible to consult all the consumptions of the year.
Each launch GestElec you will have a visual on your power consumption of the year.
GestElec only requires permission to access the Internet and only to display a small ad at the bottom of the screen.
