Objective:
Provide the indigenous communities of the country with a simple communication tool to support health care. Focused primarily on health personnel, community volunteers for the care of pregnant women and infants.
Reality
At present the indigenous regions of the country present serious problems regarding the health of its inhabitants and the percentage of maternal and infant mortality.
One of the problems is the communication between doctor and patient, since at present a large part of the indigenous population does not dominate Spanish, which is the language used mainly by health personnel.
Another problem is the infant mortality of indigenous children in Panama, which is estimated to be more than three times that in the rest of the population (60-85 deaths per 1,000 live births, compared to a national average of 17.6).
Features of the app:

2. It has 200 phrases available for each language.
3. Ability to listen to the pronunciation of sentences.
4. It does not need internet for its operation.
5. Representative images for all the phrases.
6. New phrases can be added from the desktop version.
7. Other indigenous languages can be added.
Beneficiaries:
The indigenous population in Panama is approximately 417,559. Through this app we try to reach the Ngäbe, Guna and Emberá regions. Since in these there is a high incidence of deaths of infants and pregnant women.
