The new "Kultur TO GO" app offers the ideal opportunity to listen to poetry outdoors. It even allows you to go to a place on fixed “tours” depending on the poet or epoch. The users of the app do not take part in a tour in the traditional sense in a group, but move completely independently of others, while all content is accessed via their smartphone.
How does the "Kultur TO GO" app work
At selected places in the city, special plaques will be put up so that the poem can be heard on the spot. A passing person sees the badge and uses the specially developed app to find the poem behind it. All you have to do is scan the badge with the app and the track immediately starts in the form of a video for listening and reading.
Since there is a different plaque at each place, the interested walker gets new poems along the way. He pauses for a moment and surrenders to the relaxing and not infrequently poignant power and power of the words of various poets, while he discovers a connection between the external environment and the internal experience that may otherwise never have been perceived.
How do I find the badges
If users don't happen to discover a badge on their walk, but want to find it specifically, the app also contains a map on which the locations of all available badges are displayed. Tapping on the individual points opens a field which provides further information about this plaque (e.g. the name of the poet). In addition, the locations are linked to Google Maps to make it easier to find the badges.
