About Knard
The little forest gnome Knard finds his valley destroyed one morning and sets out to look for his friend the owl. He meets trolls, knights and wizards, and wins the trust of the children of the three peoples, who give him their magic stones. With these stones Knard confronts the monster who destroyed his valley and who now also threatens the three arguing peoples themselves.
In contrast to the cliché of the powerful hero who knows no fear and wins wars, Knard is someone who, driven by friendship and a sense of justice, overcomes his own fears. He doesn't win wars, he prevents them. And he sets a courageous example when it comes to sacrificing oneself in order to overcome the constant conflicts and to bring peace into the world.
