The city of Barcelona has been chosen for the celebration of the V National Congress of Waste Management of Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) on October 5 and 6, 2023. The event will take place in the auditorium of the World Trade Center of Barcelona . This place is intended to bring together all the actors involved in the management of WEEE: producers, distributors, waste managers and public administrations.
The organizers of this environmental meeting are the Collective Systems of Extended Responsibility of the Producer of Electrical and Electronic Equipment (SCRAP): AMBILAMP, ECOASIMELEC, ECOFIMÁTICA, ECOLEC, ECOLUM, ECO-RAEE's, ECOTIC and EUROPEAN RECYCLING PLATFORM, in collaboration with the Government of Aragon.
The main objective of the Congress is to publicize the current situation of WEEE management in Spain, its importance within the Circular Economy and serve as a meeting point for all agents to promote collaboration between all of them.
As a continuation of the experience of 2017 in Antequera, 2018 in Valencia, 2019 in Toledo and 2022 in Zaragoza, in this fifth edition the sustainability of the event will be promoted through practices that minimize the environmental impact of the Congress.
