The Agora of Knowledge is a hybrid game, multimodal, pervasive and ubiquitous, whose theme is related to the Artistic and Cultural Heritage and Cultural Landscape of the city of Bento Gonçalves / RS. It is developed for mobile devices and makes use of augmented reality technology, geolocation, characters and scenarios in 3D.
The game is played in the geographic space of the city, from an initial narrative where characters instigate the player to visit geolocated points for the Cultural Heritage material, in order to carry out missions. These involve the interaction with the intangible Cultural Heritage - consisting of information provided by reference people in the community, which gives rise to the Living Library of Bento Gonçalves / RS. During the development of the missions the player must find the three essences: work, faith and community - concepts that represent the city's culture, those to be found grant the player collectibles: wine (fruit of the essence of the work), bread ( fruit of the essence of the community) and the bible (fruit of the essence of faith). The goal is to enable knowledge of experience (to know), a proposal which includes the city, from the Cultural Heritage and the representative Cultural Landscape of the history and culture of Italian immigration in the city of Bento Gonçalves / RS, as an integrating space of learning, understood as elements for the development of culture and citizenship.
