La Crónica de Badajoz is an eminently local newspaper, leader in the Community of Extremadura and an informative reference in Badajoz.
Launched at the beginning of 2002 with a weekly periodicity, in February 2006 its then owner, the Zeta Group, decided that its periodicity would become daily (Monday to Friday) becoming a reference for information in Badajoz. Since April 18, 2019, it has been owned by Prensa Ibérica.
