The objective study, combined with the patient's medical history, is the most basic diagnostic tool in clinical practice and must be mastered by all physicians. The objective study provides the earliest clinical information to the physician about a patient and is therefore the basis for all decisions on further investigation and diagnostics. The study should be conducted with great systematics and thoroughness, which requires knowledge of the theory behind objective study as well as training in the practical handles.
