After 17 years of service, the video wall in the Ostseestadion was dismantled and replaced with a new one in 2019. The "old Finnish lady", as the video wall was also called, was dismantled into its 750 modules and sold through the fan shop. So the fans could take a piece of the Ostseestadion home with them.
In order to breathe life back into these modules, a driver board was developed that can be plugged onto the pin strips of the video wall modules. This creates the possibility of displaying a text, a score or the time on the module. The transmission of individual texts, the display of a score and the setting of the time are carried out via this app via Bluetooth.
