It was summer, in the evening. I drove a car, but halfway through it died out! Around - nobody. The Internet does not catch. I did not know what to do.
Two hours later, a car drove past - the driver picked me up on a cable and towed me to the hotel. Only in the morning I was able to find a car service and towed a car there. It turned out that the generator was “covered”. Damage cost me a lot of time, money and nerves!
After that, I thought. How to make in such cases where to go?
As a programmer, I decided to create a program that stores phone numbers of technical assistance services for each city. Realizing such an idea was not easy.
First, you must always have an up-to-date base, and phones often change.
Secondly, services must be tested for quality. I can name a couple of cities where I personally “caught” problems and received qualified help, but I would like to know right away that in any city where I was first there is already a high-quality technical service.
The sad experience in Temryuk suggested another condition: the program should work even in the absence of mobile Internet.
I tested many services and private workshops, eventually stopping at RAMK - Russian Automobile Club - a subsidiary of ARC Europe SA. This is one of the world's most popular roadside assistance services.
Now in various cities - there are already more than 400 of them - you are dialing a single number and in 30-50 minutes specialists will come to you who:
- carry out recharging the battery with additional diagnostics, cleaning or replacing contacts and starting the engine from an external power source;
- change the wheel to a spare or a doc, and in especially difficult cases (for example, mechanical damage to a rack or hub, the need to replace two or more wheels) evacuate the car to the nearest
- car shop or tire workshop;
- diagnose electrical equipment and fix the malfunction right on the spot;
- perform emergency opening of the car - quickly, gently and without damage;
- fuel your car right where you left off;
- they turn off any mechanical anti-theft systems during their emergency blocking or failure and bring up a second set of keys, as well as change the power in the key fob and put new fuses;
