The HEALO 5 Program is an Educational Assessment Program (EAP) primarily designed for healthcare professionals who prescribe opioids to patients with chronic or acute pain conditions. The program provides continued educational assessments of patients’ knowledge, understanding, and responsibilities as patients when they are prescribed and take their medications.
HEALO 5 has also provides an acute pain program designed to specifically incorporate the framework of the baseline chronic program as well as additional EAP items for those patients who have had an injury or other medical issue which may not require a long recovery period, yet may require opioids to combat the pain.
Overall, driving patient behavior by knowing what the patients understand and don’t know when
they walk into the exam room is a key, multidimensional component to our program.
The Program is primarily designed to be used on any type of tablet loaded with the specific Educational Assessment
Program utilized by each provider and or facility. A desktop windows version of the program is also available.
The software is easy to use by the patients and staff and requires no additional overhead other than a robustly secured Wi-Fi connection in the facility.
