Museo Sannitico is the official App of the Sannitico Museum in Campobasso, conceived and developed to improve accessibility, in particular to people with visual disabilities.
With the App you can explore the museum through two immersive routes that will guide you through the history of Sannio told by the protagonists who lived it. The App will also guide you to make tactile experiences along the routes, exploring with your hands the reproduction of some "smart touch" objects.
The App will guide you inside and outside the museum in two immersive itineraries:
- Sanniti Experience, a journey that will take you back in time, more 2000 years ago, in the heart of the history of the Samnites and their heroic struggle against the Roman Republic.
- Traveling with Asparukh, a journey that will make you relive the medieval epoch of Sannio through the history of the Bulgarian knights who settled here during the Longobard domination.
Download the app, activate the bluetooth, go to the museum and start the experience!
Thanks to Beacon technology, the App will recognize your position and automatically start the audio tracks on each leg of the route. When you find a tactile object, touch it with your hands and listen to what it will tell you.
The App also contains in-depth content on the museum's history and exhibits, which can also be consulted before or after the visit.

THE PROJECT
Museo Sannitico is part of the project Smart Cultural Heritage 4 All, format for the innovative use of museums, exhibitions and archaeological sites, conceived and developed to improve accessibility in particular to people with disabilities and functional limitations.
The project is carried out within a memorandum of understanding between the University of Molise, Polo Museale del Molise, Heritage Srl and Centro Orientamento Ausili Tecnologici Onlus, and with the collaboration of the Italian Association Blind and Visually Impaired.
