With the 1.BImSchV, the "Regulation on small and medium-sized combustion plants" should air quality be improved eg by tightening the limit values for particulate matter. The limits are reacted in two stages. The first stage is already since 2010, the more stringent second stage will enter into force by 1 January 2015.
