Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) is a programme aimed at
helping people with ongoing difficulties managing intense emotions.
Problems in regulating emotions can lead to considerable mental
health difficulties such as increased risk of depression, eating
disorders, intentional self-injury and suicide.
Part of the DBT treatment involves teaching people skills to deal with their intense emotions.
In order to enhance the treatment for clients this app will
allow clients who are attending DBT programmes to record their skill
use and progress on treatment targets on a daily/weekly basis. The
app is interactive and will prompt skill usage, providing videos and
hints about which skills can be used appropriate to a situation.
