The application and the diagnostic and therapeutic paths created within it are the result of the substantive work of a team of various specialists - doctors and nurses cooperating with the Polish Scientific Society for Wound Treatment and Care Organization, as well as IT work carried out by HTD Developers.
The paths present the recommended practice in the treatment of chronic wounds of various etiologies based on the developed clinical problems in the treatment of wounds with the use of business process modeling tools BPMN 2.O (Business Process Modeling Notation).
A process is a course of action, it describes steps and events. Additionally, it allows to reflect the flow of important information in the process and communication in the process. BPMN 2.0 is described in ISO / IEC 19510: 2013. So far used to model business processes in industry and public administration, including logistic, organizational and administrative processes - it is currently changing its profile in favor of clinical use in the context of the organization and logistics of providing healthcare services.
The application presents a holistic approach to the patient, it also includes elements related to the education of the patient and his relatives, as well as prevention and control. Each path is divided into characteristic stages of diagnostic and therapeutic procedure, arranged in a cause-effect, logical whole.
