The Association of Private Port Terminals (ATP) was created on October 24, 2013 to represent the interests and act in defense of the private port segment and in the modernization of Brazilian ports. It currently represents 29 large companies and brings together 56 Private Use Terminals (TUP) in the country.
ATP members, together, handle 60% of Brazilian port cargo and are responsible for generating 47,000 direct and indirect jobs. These are companies that stand out for their positive performances and successive records of movement. They operate in fundamental areas of the Brazilian economy, such as the mining, steel, oil and gas, agribusiness, containers and logistics complex sectors, contributing to the positive balance of the national trade balance and to making Brazilian foreign trade more robust.
ATP is focused on constant articulation with the government, public and private entities to ensure legal certainty and a business environment favorable to investment. Promotes the active participation of the business community in technical and legal discussions with the aim of contributing to the growth of Private Use Terminals in Brazil.
To this end, it operates on approximately 20 work fronts, has four Thematic Committees, prepares projects and studies to promote public and private investments aimed at improving and modernizing the Brazilian port infrastructure.
