App designed to promote the monitoring of toxicities and the management of the therapeutic regimen in people with cancer, with a view to improving the quality of life and strengthening communication with health professionals.
This project consists of a web platform for healthcare professionals, where patient accounts are created and managed. This platform allows access, in real time, to information such as: adherence to treatments, levels of toxicity associated with treatments, therapeutic attitudes suggested by the application and their effectiveness evaluated by patients and scales or clinical parameters requested by health professionals (temperature, weight, etc.). All this information will be viewed by the health professional in an intuitive and easy-to-consult way.
The iGestSaúde app, for use by patients, will be accessible after registration and validation by a health professional and will allow them to access a series of features, including:
- Alert for the time and indications for administration of prescribed therapy at certain times and in SOS;
- Validate medication administration by health professionals;
- Characterize and categorize the toxicities experienced into three alert levels (green, yellow and red) for the main complications associated with oncological treatments: alopecia, skin changes, changes in sexuality, anorexia, anxiety, pain, diarrhea, dyspnea, urinary disorders , fatigue, insomnia, constipation, mucositis, nausea and vomiting or others.
- In the presence of a green alert: provide self-care indications for the prevention or exacerbation of this complication or symptom associated with the treatment;
- In the presence of a yellow alert: provide self-care indications for the treatment of this complication or symptom associated with the treatment;
- In the presence of a red alert: inform the patient and the health professional of a complication or symptom with a high level of severity, which requires a differentiated intervention by the health team;
- Record clinical parameters requested by health professionals (temperature, weight, blood pressure, etc.).
- Assess the perception of health, well-being and quality of life of patients, by completing pre-defined scales;
- Allow access to information regarding the hospital/oncology day center where treatments are carried out;
- Allow a glossary of medical terms associated with cancer and its treatments;
- Allows you to visualize your health condition, as well as its evolution through a series of graphs available.
