The International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics (ICRISAT), along with partners have developed the AGskillED app for farmers, grassroots workers and extension personnel. AGskillED app is using ICT-based Massive Online Open Courses (MOOCs) to train farmers in key skills and hopes to strengthen the capacities of farmers as well as provide an accessible, end-to-end learning platform for grassroots workers and extension personnel in different aspects of agriculture/ horticulture. This multi-lingual app helps farmers to get tailor made information about new techniques to boost their productivity and income from the convenience of their homes, in their own language.
