Iftitah Istiftah, Iftitah prayer Istiftah prayer is four terms that refer to one meaning that is dhikr which is read as an opening prayer which is usually read after after takbiratul ihram and before reading ta'awwudz and surat Al-Fatihah, both prayer alone or congregation, become a priest or become congregation.
The majority of scholars consider that reading the Iftitah prayer is a sunnah law, it is very good to read in obligatory prayers or sunnah, for priests and for the ummah, to pray alone or to worship, whether the traveler or not, whether to pray, sit or lie down, etc. get rewarded by Allah Almighty, if he is left either intentionally or because he forgets then his innocence and prayer remain valid, without having to replace him with prostration at the end of the prayer, if after takbiratul ihram accidentally reads Al-Fatihah it does not have to be repeated by reciting the iftitah, Al-Fatihah can be continued.
