Orb-e Móvil has capabilities to digitally sign documents protected and in compliance with the Law on Certificates, Digital Signatures and Electronic Documents No. 8454.
The advanced electronic signature or digital signature (Costa Rican legal system) are those that are made through asymmetric cryptography (public and private keys) or using biometric data of the person, likewise, this type of signature must have some mechanism that guarantees the inalterability of the document and the signature data, such as a time stamp (TimeStamping) or the linking of the result of running a hash function on the document.
Orb-e Móvil uses the document format PAdES-LTV (Long Term Validation of digital signatures) to validate the integrity and authenticity of the document over the years.
