About MyArt for School

MyART for School aims to promote awareness, critical awareness and spirit of active citizenship in the world of youth in relation to the issues of protecting human rights, through an educational path that uses cinema as a tool for knowledge and training, and that actively involves them in organizing the third edition of the festival.

What do we do? Go back to school.

During the workshops in the schools the students will be approached to the "alternative narratives" that MyArt offers through the documentaries and short films available in their own archive.

Each vision will be accompanied by a discussion, an in-depth analysis of the proposed film, both on the message front and in terms of language and technique. The meetings will be introduced and coordinated by a professional journalist, specialized in immigration and professional ethics and the correct representation of the phenomenon in the media. Each screening will be accompanied by a moment of discussion and discussion with some "privileged witnesses" such as migrants who have carried out their own migration project and have managed to integrate themselves

At the end of the course, about 10 students will be selected to be involved in the organization and promotion of the third edition of the Festival and the section dedicated to schools, in order to increase students' knowledge and skills on cinema and the audiovisual world.

The MyArt for school project is promoted by the Multiethnic Cultural Association "La Kasbah" and is funded under the "National Cinema Plan for the School" (Action C2 "Good Practices, Reviews and Festivals"), promoted by MIUR (Ministry Education, University and Research) and the MiBAC (Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities).
