There's a secret most navigation apps won't tell you - the shortest path between two points is a straight line if you're on the surface of a flat plane (like the Earth), or a great-circle arc if you're on the surface of a sphere (like the Earth).

But most navigation apps force you to follow "roads" and "highways" and "streets" and other artificial paths. Not ours! Now you can navigate between two points in the mathematically shortest (and fastest) way*.
