Characteristics of the "Riyadh Child Welfare Association" application
- The application is intended for mothers and beneficiaries of the Association's programs.
The application includes four main programs:
Mother and child education:
It is a free program that aims to enable mothers and those involved in childcare to perform their roles more effectively. It is implemented once a week, three hours over a period of 25 weeks (six months).
Breastfeeding and falls under it:
1. A specialized educational workshop:
Providing educational workshops in order to educate society in general about the importance of breastfeeding and its challenges in schools, hospitals, social development committees, neighborhood clubs and public places.
2. Support groups:
It is a meeting that takes place in a comfortable and convenient place, for a number ranging between (9-12) mothers, for a period of two hours, in which the breastfeeding mother receives guidance, support and answers to her questions, and this meeting is organized by two breastfeeding counselors and the discussion is held between mothers under the supervision of the two counselors.
3. Providing support by means of communication (consulting):
The mother sends the counseling and the breastfeeding counselor replies to her. Messages can be exchanged on the same counseling or a new one is started.
Community awareness and education:
The community awareness and education program aims to support influential adults in the child's life to be able to support the growth, development and learning of children through various training courses provided to adults and children by specialists in the field of early childhood.
Text messages to support the mother in caring for her child up to the age of six:
A program that aims to educate mothers by providing them with information while raising their children from birth to six years old by sending free text messages.
