Game based on counting steps, with individual and team classification
Rules of the game :
1. Objective:
The StepByStep Challenge is a mobile phone game based on counting steps. The main goal is to encourage players to walk more, engage in physical activities and work together as a team to achieve common goals.
10 teams of 10 players will compete by counting their steps.
2. Registration (send an email to jmainformatique@gmail.com):
Players will have to communicate their email addresses and they will receive their identifiers in return.
Each team must have a unique name and a captain responsible for communicating with other team members.
3. Step count:
Participants use the mobile application to count their steps throughout the challenge.
Steps are collected by the StepByStep app on the Google FIT app, you can and should verify that these apps are tracking your daily steps before installing the app.
Connected watches are strongly recommended to optimize the number of steps.
Players will be able to choose when to update their steps using a "download their steps" button, so that they are counted and go up in the individual and team accumulations.
4. Interactive map:
An interactive map displays the movements of the teams on a common route according to the number of steps collected. Teams will be able to view their progress as well as that of other teams on the map.
1 step/team (10 players) will equal 1m of movement on the map
5. Challenges:
During the 12 days of the challenge, challenges will be offered to players to spice up the experience:
a) Battle between 2 teams: the teams will be put in direct confrontation to see which team accumulates the most steps over a given period (for example, 12 hours). The winning team will receive step bonuses.
b) Step bonuses: Special goals will be set, and if players or teams reach them, they will receive additional step bonuses to boost their overall score.
6. Sportsmanship and fair play:
All participants must show fair play and respect the rules of the game. Any attempt at cheating, manipulation or manual addition of steps (detected by the app) will be severely sanctioned, even resulting in the exclusion of the player or of the team concerned.
7. Discussion area:
Players will be encouraged to share their progress on the in-app public chat.
This space is not dedicated to possible problems or remarks concerning possible problems, for this you will have to contact us by email at jmainformatique@gmail.com
