Japan Meteorological Co., Ltd. has announced the forecast of the flowering and full bloom dates of about 1,000 cherry blossom (Somei Yoshino) spots nationwide from Hokkaido to Kagoshima.
■ What is “Sakura no Kimochi”?
It is an application that shows the expected flowering and full bloom dates of cherry blossom spots (cherry blossom spots) nationwide and the state of cherry blossoms heading for flowering (flowering meter).
In addition, it is equipped with functions that allow you to enjoy cherry blossoms even more, such as "Cherry Blossom Spot Approach Notification" that notifies you when you are approaching a cherry blossom spot, and "Stamp Rally" that allows you to record the spots you have visited.
■What is “MY Spot”?
This is my favorite cherry blossom spot. Up to 10 items can be registered.
■ Nationwide cherry blossom map
You can see the location of cherry blossom spots nationwide with pins on the map.
You can also tell the degree of growth of the cherry blossoms by the color of the pin.
Tap the pin to display the details screen.
* Displaying a large number of pins at once may slow down loading.

You can see the expected flowering date, full bloom date, and flower meter for each spot.
You can register the spot to MY SPOT by clicking the "Add to MY SPOT" button.
With the "visited stamp" button, you can put a visited stamp on the spot.
The "visited stamp" button can be pressed when you visit the spot (*).
* It will not work unless the use of location information is always permitted on the terminal side.
* If you visit once, you can press it even after you leave.

You can check the detailed information of the spot (whether there is a parking lot, etc.) on the general weather site "Otenki Navigator".
■ My spot (blooming/full bloom calendar)
This is a calendar for the cherry blossom viewing season (March to May).
The dates of the forecasted flowering date and the full blooming date of MY spot are marked.
■ Stamp rally
You can see the spots that have been stamped as visited.
Stamps do not reset after the season ends. Let's increase it little by little!
■ Notice of approaching cherry blossom spots
Get notified when you approach a cherry blossom spot.
* It will not work unless "notification" and "use of location information" are always allowed in the terminal settings.
* Depending on the location information acquisition status on the terminal side, it may not be notified.
*Since there is an error in the location information, you may be notified even if it is outside the range of the notification settings.

[About the growth of cherry blossoms]
Flower buds, which are the basis of cherry blossoms, are formed in the summer of the year before flowering.
Flower buds first enter dormancy after being formed in the summer. Then, after awakening (breaking dormancy) due to the constant coldness of autumn and winter, it grows as the temperature rises in early spring.
[Information provision period]
Flowering meter information will be provided around autumn every year, and will be updated daily thereafter.
The forecast dates for flowering and full bloom are announced around January every year, and updated every week from mid-February onwards.
In addition, the above information will be discontinued in order from the spot where the cherry blossom status is "leaf cherry blossoms" one week after the expected full bloom date.
