About Extravasación de fármacos no c

Medications administered intravenously have the potential to escape from the venous circulation and filter into the surrounding tissue, which may cause infiltration or extravasation.
Infiltration consists of the leakage of irritants, which leads to inflammation and pain, but without producing tissue necrosis.
The appearance of extravasation can lead to severe tissue damage, which may require surgical debridement and skin grafting, prolongation of hospital stay, and increased morbidity.
Extravasation is a complication associated with the administration of intravenous therapy.
The damage produced by the extravasation will depend on: different risk factors intrinsic to the agent, the patient and the procedure; of the prevention measures taken and the management of it once it has been produced.
In this APP there are action guidelines, based on bibliography, in front of an event of this type
