Welcome to Oak Island Treasure Hunt.

Oak Island is a 140-acre island on the south shore of Nova Scotia, Canada. For hundreds of years, people have been searching for long-lost treasure believed to be hidden there. Many searchers have died trying to find the treasure, leading many to believe that the island and its treasure are cursed.
In this challenging adventure game, you will lead the next treasure hunting party. To succeed where so many before have failed, you will need to employ your own strategies to uncover the island’s secrets, and if successful, discover astounding treasures.

You will have a limited amount of time, money and crew members to complete your search. You must be wise with how you spend your resources to maximize your chances of finding treasure, while avoiding the many pitfalls that have thwarted previous searchers.

Search Methods:

Metal Detector – choose one lot per day and search for metal objects buried just below the surface
Bulldozer – bulldoze one lot per day, unearth objects buried up to 10 feet deep
Excavator – choose an area to excavate and dig up to 30 feet deep
Core Sample Drilling Rig – choose a point and drill to extract core samples revealing potential finds up to 200 feet underground
Boreholes – when you’re ready for a big dig, use a crane and oscillator to bore steel caissons deep into the earth
Drain The Swamp – pump the water out of the swamp to enable metal detecting and excavating

Avoid Hazards:
Beware of potential hazards that could endanger your crew such as inclement weather, accidents, floods, poison gases, or cave-ins.

Budget:
You will have a limited budget to fund search activities. Be strategic in your search methods and conservative with your spending.

Time Management:
You have very limited time on the island to conduct your exploration. Manage your time wisely and make the most of every opportunity.
